Wednesday already??

Where did Monday and Tuesday go? The last few days have been crazy and hectic. Monday was a blurr of driving, market (make that 2 markets- we always go to Trader Joe's for our 'dry ingrediants' and Fresh N Easy for our meats, chicken and everything else we can't get at Trader Joe's), juice it-up, crying (from Brooklynn), cleaning and finishing up orders.
Tuesday, both Brooklynn and I woke up at 6:20am. That is eeearrlyy!! On a regular day, you'll find us still in bed at 9:30 in the morning! It was our first day at MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers).

We drove all the way to Calvary Chapel Chino Hills (we live in R.C. so it was like a 30 min drive) and of course B fell asleep on the way.
I was driving with a knot in my stomach, I was so nervous! Some of you may know, I am not a shy person at all, but going into a place where I don't know anybody (besides one person), and going to a place where I am not familiar with, that allows room for some "nervous-ness".
I started praying and talking to God and asked for peace and courage and to allow my personality to shine and come through. Well, long story short, I met my table leader, Leah Heids and the other ladies and loved them all! It was such a great time of meeting other moms and having them meet me.
We ate breakfast (made by my table leader..mmm..), had a devotion on Hannah (we are going through the women of the bible), had a time of prayer, announcements, and craft.  It was so neat to be surrounded by other Christian moms who love God and their family.
I signed up for MOPS for a number of different reasons. I have been going to CCCV for 18 years, all my life practically (I'm 23)! I wanted to meet other moms who didn't know a clue about me. Don't get me wrong here, I love my church and everyone in it and I love the fact that I do know a lot of other people and they know me because I grew up in the church. I just wanted someone who didn't know I was a twin, or who knew my parents or who said, "I remember when you were this little" (and put their hand facing down in the air at waist length). I felt the LORD was telling me to get out of "comfort zone" and I know He wanted to stretch me and use me in ways where I needed it.
I had such an awesome time at MOPS and can't wait til next week! It's a little long for Brooklynn to be in the nursery but I said to her, "You better get used to this girl, you're gonna be here every Tuesday".
Earlier I had mentioned we did a craft, what can get better than making crafts right? What we made was very easy and very practical.  Nifty, isn't it?

After MOPS, a dear friend and her two kids (3 & 16 months) came over and between all of them and all of Brooklynn's toys, there was mess, destruction, chaos and some crying. But, it comes with the territory and I loved it!
Tuesday was all-in-all, a blessing and exhausting. I went to bed at 9pm. My bedtime is around midnight. So when I go to sleep at 9pm, you KNOW I'm exhausted.
So, now it's time to soak in Wednesday. I think I've done a pretty good job already, I made pizza rolls for Brooklynn and I, and they came out delicious. I used crescent rolls, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese and pepperoni (for myself), rolled them up and baked them. mmmm.. Then I started on dinner: Lime Chicken Tacos. Chicken, lime, green onions, garlic, salt, sugar, oregano, red wine vinegar, throw it all in the crockpot and it about 4 hours, shred it and put it in your flour tortilla. It's going to delicious!
Brooklynn is outside and is a COMPLETE MESS and full of dirt, gotta go!
God Bless and happy Wednesday.

Confessions of a mommy...THIS mommy

{I let milk dribble from the bottle on my bed... and I won't wash my sheets right away}

{My 15 month old still sleeps in our bed}

{I will keep giving her cookies until I'm finished with a blog}

{I let her play with all of my lotions and make-up to keep her quiet}

{I ignore her when I know she is fake-whining}

{I like to bite her feet, even if they had been walking all over the place}

{I am almost too consumed in her bowel movements...she has chronic constipation}

{I've taken showers at 3pm many times}

{I let her watch Nick Jr. even though "they" say kids shouldn't watch TV until they're 2}

{If she is playing nice by herself, I'll sneak around so she won't see me}

{She can practically have and do anything when I need to complete orders}

{I....still...........nurse her}

{I love her and I love being her mommy}

Back-In-The-Day Thursay; Like Mother like Daughter

Today is Thursday, so it's time for a back-in-the-day picture!
Kimie and I at 19 months old, destroying playing with toilet paper.
As many mothers know, when  your child is quiet, too quiet, they're  up to something. And that "something" is usually no good.
I have to be on the computer almost half of the day, sometimes more, checking e-mails, ordering, writing down orders that people send in to me and then making the orders. It was quiet and at first I heard the toys making noise, singing and doing what all toys for 1 yr olds do.  Then... nothing... hmmm... where is she? She had traveled her way to the bathroom and this is what I found.

I just laughed and picked it all up. I have a little secret, I actually don't mind when Brooklynn makes a mess. Yes, it's a lot of clean up for me, but I don't mind the chaos, mess, and destruction that comes along with a 1 yr old. I let her take out all my Tupperware and once I put it all back, I let her do it again. She goes through the "bag" drawer and takes out the sandwich bags, storage bags and freezer bags and leaves them all  on the kitchen floor. I think of it as exploring and having fun. She loves to drop her crayons all over the floor, and if you were to look in her bag of crayons, there are so many broken pieces from us stepping on them. haha. So, I had to show a picture when Kimie and I were 19 months old, playing around with toilet paper and Brooklynn doing the same thing. Fun, fun, fun.

Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis

Who has heard of The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis? My husband, mother, father, brother and I had the opportunity to see the play in Glendale, CA this past Saturday. There was a whole group of us from our church that had the chance to go.

The play is a 2 person  act, one being "Screwtape" and the other "Toadpipe" which is his secretary. The play is set in an office in hell, where Screwtape (which is Satan's Abysmal Sublimity, also known as his chief psychiatrist) entices a human "patient" toward damnation. He uses his nephew, Woodworm, (who is a 'jr. tempter') to try to "steer" this human toward evil and damnation.

As the play goes on, we see (through the letters that are written by Screwtape) that their "patient" has become a Christian, and yet Screwtape still tries to put "evil" and "immoral" situations in the way of their patient.
This plays shows the spiritual  warfare from a demon's point of view, something we don't always think about.
I mean, I know what spiritual warfare is, but to see an actual play that shows it from a demon's point of view was just eye-opening!
Satan is in fact, cunning, sly, and makes the road to hell, "soft and gentle".

"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy..." John 10:10

All in all, it was theatrical, true and entertaining. If you do not get a chance to see the play, read the book or hear it on audio-CD. It was ingenious for C.S. Lewis to think of a morally inverted universe and the way human souls are "hell's primary source of food".
My husband and my family all had a good time with friends and I highly recommend it to everyone! Although it is recommended to those who are in Jr. High and older.

Boutique Clothes

I have to let you know that I am IN LOVE with boutique clothes for little girls! But I must say, they do some damage in my bank account!

Good thing, I won some Persnickety bucks during a contest they were  having. Here are some of the clothes they sell and what I bought for Brooklynn. They are having a sale right now but I don't know  how long it will last!

Here are some of my other favorites: Beary Basics
These are some designs by Beary Basics that I adore:

Back-In-The-Day Thurdsday!

So, every Thursday I want to do a "Back-In-The-Day" picture!
Just to re-live the
{memories}
{feelings}
{smiles}
and
{laughter}
This was our very first outing together. We had only been dating for a less than a month and I had told him I loved Sea World. And as most new boyfriends would do, he took me to Sea World thinking maybe, just maybe I would like him more. I was 18 and he, 20.

I thought of this picture because just the other day we had went out to lunch and as we were eating, a Mariah Carey song came on and I said,
"Do you remember when you took me to Sea World and I sang the ENTIRE Mariah Carey CD?"
He laughed.
He said, "Of course I remember. I said to myself,

'I better get used to this, because I'm going to marry this girl'"

Well that just made me fall in love with him all over again!  I never knew that!
You see, I was testing him; I brought with me my Mariah Carey CD, popped it into his "manly truck" CD player and sang EVERY song on the CD. I even hummed and made up words to the songs I didn't know. Little did I know that I was going to sing to him everyday from that day on. But, according to him, he knew all along. God brought us together and it is only through HIM that we stay together.

My Sis.Getting Married

Side-Note: Is it too much to blog everyday?? Or should I be subtle on how excited I am about blogging?? Just a little thought.

As some of you know, my younger sister Lauren, is getting married! I'm so excited I just had to blog about it! She met her fiance, Nick, a year ago and this is what I thought, "Wow, he's quiet too They are perfect for each other!!".

Here's some pictures of their engagement to get you caught up. He took her to Pershing Square in Downtown LA, which is an outdoor ice rink. My family and I were hiding behind trees, bushes and the cement benches. Not to mention, we were all spread out. It was the funniest thing, Kimberly and I were so into it that you would swear we were army crawling everywhere just so Nick and Lauren couldn't spot us.

Anyway, the other day, we went to David's Bridal so Lauren could try on some wedding dresses and WITH HER PERMISSION I am able to post a picture of her in a wedding gown!! She looked gorgeous in EVERY SINGLE ONE!
{Of course, this is NOT the dress, but I had to show off how stunning she looked when she put on every dress she tried one}

This is the first update on "Lauren's Pre-Wedding". More updates to come! I'm so excited for this wedding and I love both Lauren and Nick very much!

First Things First...

I am officially a "blogger". My 10 1/2 month younger sister (well, I can't say "baby sister" can I?) said exactly this, "You know you're a stay-at-home-mom when you start blogging!". Ahahaha - all I could do was laugh! In some cases, that is true, obviously it's true in mine.

I've been debating about getting a blog for a while now, I said to myself, "I don't know, I'll always have to come up with something clever, witty, smart, intelligent, aspiring, and memorable to write about and I don't know if I'm up for that challenge!" But here I am, I'm going for the challenge, but I'm apologizing now if I fall short of these challenges.

You wanna know some things about me?
Ahem (clearing of the throat):
{I love Jesus}
{I believe Jesus is the only way to Heaven- accepting Him into your heart and having faith}
{23 years old}
{Half Filipina and Mexican}
{Married at 20 to the most handsome man in the world}

{I have twin, Kimberly - we share the same soul (no, we really do!!) lol}

{I have a beautiful younger sister, Lauren (we are only 10 1/2 months apart, figure that one out!}

{A 16yr old brother Samuel - very handsome if I say so myself}

{Amazing parents}

{Wonderful Sister-in-law Alexa}

{Brother-in-law Christopher (12 yrs old)}

{These are my in-laws}

{I make gorgeous and affordable hair pieces for the princess's in your life}

{I love to crochet - I owe it all to Lauren and a little bit of "self-teaching"}

hmm... I'm pretty sure that is all for now! Follow my blog, I made my husband "follow" so I could at least say, "Yes, someone is following my blog". Granted, I signed him up but still, a follower is a follower and I would love to have you! (not in the literal sense) Goodnight. God Bless.
